Dandruff is the result of a very dry scalp, so to cure dandruff you only need to moisturize your scalp.
To moisturize your scalp you can mix a very small amount of olive oil with an herb such as rosemary. Since olive oil has a kitchen scent you may want to mix a few drops of a scent into the mix before you rub it on your head. Let your fingertips make contact with your scalp and gently rub in the solution.
You can also use Jojoba oil as a rub, or pure coconut oil or salve. The coconut is a very good moisturizer and has a pleasant scent.
Don't wash your hair every day if you have dandruff. You could be drying out the natural oils and ingredients in the shampoo may be contributing to the drying.
Consider switching to a shampoo/conditioner, or use a conditioner after shampooing.
Dandruff shampoos may also provide some temporary relief, but you should find the root cause for the dandruff, which could be environment (too dry) or diet, or a combination of the frequency you shampoo and type of shampoo used.
